Neighborhoods

East Bay Neighborhoods

This is where I work. Fourteen communities across Contra Costa and Alameda County, from the San Ramon Valley through the Tri-Valley and out along the Highway 4 corridor, plus the ability to help you anywhere in California.

Buyers almost never arrive with one city in mind. They arrive with a commute, a school preference, a budget and a feeling about what they want their weekends to look like. The right answer is often two or three towns they had not seriously considered.

Pick a community below for a plain-English look at the housing, the neighborhoods inside it, the schools and the commute, plus a live search of everything currently on the market there.

The San Ramon Valley

Central Contra Costa

The Tri-Valley

Also serving the Highway 4 corridor

These are markets I actively work but have not written a full guide for yet. The links go straight to live MLS results for each city, and I know them well enough to tell you which neighborhoods are worth your weekend.

Blackhawk and Diablo are covered inside the Danville guide, since that is how the market treats them.

Buying or selling somewhere else in California?

I get this question constantly, usually from someone who assumes I only work the 680 corridor. Two things worth knowing.

My license is statewide. A California real estate license is not a local permit. If you are buying in Sacramento, selling in Fresno, picking up an investment property in Southern California or moving out of the Central Valley, I can represent you directly anywhere in the state. Where that makes sense for you, I will.

And where a local specialist serves you better, I make the introduction myself. Coldwell Banker has offices across California and around the world, so I can put you with an agent who actually lives in the market you are moving to. I do not hand your name to a lead pool. I find the right person, talk with them first, and stay involved so you are not starting a relationship cold in a city you do not know yet.

Either way you are not on your own, and you are not starting over with a stranger from a search result.

Not sure which one fits?

That is the most useful question you can bring me. Tell me where you work, what you need out of a school district and what you want your Saturday to look like, and I will tell you honestly which of these towns fits and which ones do not. Sometimes the answer is a neighborhood inside a city rather than the city itself, and that distinction is worth a lot of money.

I am a Certified Real Estate Negotiator with Coldwell Banker Realty out of the Danville and Blackhawk office, and I work across every community on this page.
